Growing up I was always a shy kid, I still am, photography has given me the opportunity to get to know people and communicate with them on a different level. Photography has become another language to me. It has helped me come out of my shell and not be that shy kid I once was. My camera serves as a window to the world that leads to undiscovered people and places and my photos are like a journal, when I see them I can relive that point in time forever. When I look back on them I can reconnect with those people and places in the photos. My work shows the people and places I have come in contact with and portrays the experiences that I have had the privilege to live through. When I visit these places, I go there with the mentality of immersing myself in the culture and getting to know the people. I want to know the environment and its surroundings for what they really are and not their tourist attractions. All the work that I have displayed means the world to me and each photo has a piece of my soul.
